The Ford Explorer EV is the latest addition to Ford's electric SUV range. This all-electric version of the popular Explorer offers all the power, space and adventure capabilities of its predecessors, with the benefits of emission-free driving. Its long driving range and fast charging times make it suitable for both commuting and longer trips.

The Ford Explorer's battery has a capacity of 79 kWh. This translates into a theoretical driving range according to the  WLTP  of 430 kilometres with a maximum range of 602 km (in the city at mild temperatures).

How long does it take to charge?

You can charge the Explorer's battery in several ways. You can charge the car via the wall socket, although this is the slowest way to charge the battery. You can also use a  smartcable  or  advance charging station   for a fast and user-friendly charging experience.

Suitable charging station

We recommend installing a 1-phase charging station both at home and at work. However, it is interesting to already buy a more powerful charging station (e.g. 3-phase at 11kW or 22kW) to be ready for your future all-electric car.
